Chained at the ankles
Anger holds quick
A weighty burden
To sink your steps

Tied at the wrists
Frustration bonds fast
Sticking together hands
To sabotage your grasp

With each angry step
You travel an inch
One’s bound to get tired
Being worn into the ground

One might learn, such as I…

Use hindrance to your advantage
With such weight one might sink
But ’tis always possible
To walk beneath water

Anchored steady tread along
Against the currents, life
As time passes they will rust
The chains of suppression

The stream will cleanse
Your hands of frustration
The viscous bond melts
Leaving you free

And this is how, I say
That one must resource
Your anger and frustration
Into the greatest tool
